Lonely Planet, the respected travel guide publisher, predicts that Greece will be the top destination in Europe for 2014, as the country shows strong signs of recovery with another record year for tourist arrivals. Destinations in the ‘Best in Europe’ Top 10 list are chosen for being either ‘under the radar’, generating buzz, or being perennial favourites with reasons to visit in 2014 – we can confirm that Greece offers numerous destinations that qualify for one or more of the above reasons.
The assessment involves the evaluation of microbiological parameters in more than 2150 sampling points across Greece and the statistical analysis of the results over a 4-year period.
